End Farm and OIL Subsidies. It's just welfare for big Agri-business and Big OIL.
This Proposition would phase out all Farm Subsidizes over a period of Three Years in order to give farmers time to plant differently in order to compensate for loss of government revenues and ends OIL company subsidies immediately.
Due to the policies of a CRIMINAL BUSH administration, our government actually GIVES our TAX dollars to OIL COMPANIES. The OIL Companies are paying even low ranked executive HUNDREDS of MILLIONS of DOLLARS in BONUSES, earned off the backs of the struggling middle class American People. Money is probably also being funneled to the key politicians who voted for this NONSENSE policy. We should be TAXING THEM DOUBLE the CORPORATE RATE for SCREWING US OVER SO badly. GIVE ME A BREAK.
THIS NATIONAL BALLOT MEASURES ENDS THIS NONSENSE in one swoop. We need a COMPANION Ballot Measure that would RAISE the TAXES of ALL OIL COMPANIES and use some of that money to FIX OUR ROADS and INVEST IN ALTERNATIVE forms of ENERGY.
The current levels of TENS of BILLIONS of DOLLARS that pays FARMERS NOT TO PLANT FOOD and then MAKES over-production of other crops a complete and total failure that the American People no longer wish to finance. Add to this speculation about the price of crops and you have a never ending spiral of higher and higher food prices, runaway inflation and a failing economy. And we must recognize that whenever the government subsidizes an industry it's primarily because the Industry Lobbyists have paid for their votes on the subsidy bills. A good example are the farm subsidies, written by the Farm Lobbyists, AGRI-BUSINESS.
FOOD PRICES are HIGH ENOUGH. We don't need to make them higher by giving the Farmers more FARM SUBSIDIES NOT TO GROW foodstuffs. Let them grow more, NOT LESS.
