Provides 100 Billion Dollars to aid the Schools in America
This measure creates a fund of 100 Billion dollars, which shall be taken from the Department of Defense Budget. The money to be used to grant to any public school the money to keep class sizes smaller by hiring more teachers and if necessary, providing the infrastructure to support additional teachers, but not more bureaucrats, or any job level above teacher..
The measure takes 100 Billion Dollars from the bloated Pentagon Budget and puts it to work to SAVE OUR SCHOOLS. Have you ever seen the bumper sticker that reads: "Wouldn't it be a glorious day when the schools have all the money they need and the Pentagon has to hold a bake sale to buy a new Bomber?" This NATIONAL BALLOT MEASURE SUPPORTS our schools at the cost of the Defense Department which currently is buying Jet Planes priced at over 100 MILLION DOLLARS and other weapons systems that cost over 100 BILLION DOLLARS. The Pentagon, under this present administration has recently admitted that they have no way of accounting for all of their spending because they just get that much money, it's impossible to account for it all.
Naturally, many Pentagon bureaucrats have taken advantage of this accounting chaos and live in 5,000 Sq. Ft. mansions and driving Rolls Royce cars. Their jobs: to control the spending. They control it all right, right into their own personal bank accounts. Pentagon employees have been found recently abusing Government Credit Cards. I believe most of us were shocked when we learned only from the scandal that federal employees are given CREDIT CARDS to make it more convenient to continue their out of control spending sprees. Many of them buy personal items on their government credit cards, one of them racking up a bill of $400,000 that he used to entertain his girlfriend. And, this is just ONE EXAMPLE. There are tens of thousands of them.
Government spending is out of control, but WHAT'S WORSE is that the government has no priorities straight. The spending on war and the preparation for war is glamorous to them, so this dept. of government gets unlimited funding, with no controls, no questions about why they need such and such an item. Toilets were recently found to cost the Government over $10,000 and they were exactly the same item one can find at Home Depot for $200. No difference, yet when the Pentagon buys something, somehow, they have to have one with GOLD TRIM and Supersonic Transmission.
THE TRULY MOST IMPORTANT ITEM our government should take more seriously is the education of our children. We have already fallen to nearly last place in terms of educating our citizens. And, yet we are the world's largest war monger. Why is that? We must ask ourselves, what are our real priorities? Does the vast majority of us really want to make war on the rest of the world? Or does the vast majority of us want to live in a world in peace where everyone gets along and trades with one another and supports each others' economies? Which way is it? I believe most of the American people would much prefer PEACE, if they were given the CHOICE.
National Ballot Measures gives us that CHOICE in maters of War and Peace, but in all matters important to us, the average Middle Class, tax-paying citizens. They work for US. IT is NOT vice versa. See companion National Ballot Measure - FORCING a BALANCED BUDGET.
By SIMPLY HAVING A NATIONAL BALLOT MEASURE that sets our priorities straight, we have a much more efficient society. We save billions of dollars and the economy can function according to our real needs of real people, not the needs of a war machine. makes it a crime to secretly attach earmarked funds to an existing piece of legislation, this nonsense would stop and we might get a decent and responsible Congress once again. BUT, while we wait to have REAL DEMOCRACY in AMERICA, our leaders know that there is NOTHING WE CAN DO TO CONTROL THEM and they make pretty speeches and deny all their wrongdoing by simply lying straight to our faces. Since there is nothing we can do, they know they can get away with anything.
